When Kyuhyun saw him the first day he thought the guy was gross and he swore to himself not to get near him. Kyuhyun was walking through the school’s hall smirking to every pretty girl in his way. He was the most popular guy in the school and he was proud for that.

 

“Kyu!” A blond girl called clinging into Kyuhyun’s arm “Shall we go to cafeteria together?” She asked tilting her head and blinking cutely.

 

“Sure Jess… why not?” Kyuhyun answered lazily.

 

But then, in his way to the cafeteria, he could see that senior there, it was as if he would be trying to hide himself, Kyuhyun frowned because of the horrible view present there.

 

Jessica and Kyuhyun went to sit down in their spot and Kyuhyun couldn’t stop looking at the guy. Why did that guy disgusted Kyuhyun so much? Kyuhyun frowned when he saw the guy getting his food and going out the cafeteria. He suddenly felt wrong and stood up.

 

“Where are you going?” Jessica asked just to get no answer from Kyuhyun. “Whatever.” She hissed when the latter was lost in the hallway.

 

Kyuhyun was following the guy from behind, looking intently at every movement the other did. He saw the guy was going to the rooftop and his frown went deeper.

 

Is he meeting with someone else? He asked in his mind.

 

He better not or else…

 

Or else what? His mind asked violently making Kyuhyun stop. What was he thinking?

 

Kyuhyun sighed and turned around walking once again to the cafeteria.

 

“Watch where you’re going you stupid!” Kyuhyun heard a guy yelling and he just turned his gaze.

 

“I-I’m s-so sorry!” The guy apologized way too excited making Kyuhyun frown.

 

Kyuhyun didn’t move, he wasn’t supposed to help when the big guy hit the smaller. Kyuhyun saw how an angry guy went away leaving a trembling figure there.

 

Kyuhyun took some steps ahead just because his legs told him so. He was now just a few inches apart from the guy who he felt disgusted towards. The guy was reaching all his belongings that fell on the floor and his back was facing Kyuhyun.

 

“Hey.” Kyuhyun called and chuckle when the guy threw all his things once again to the floor.

 

“I’m sorry!” The guy said covering his head with his hands. “Just take my wallet and leave me alone please!” The guy yelled closing his eyes as if protecting himself and handing Kyuhyun his walled.

 

“Why are you apologizing?! And I don’t need your wallet!” Kyuhyun yelled annoyed, he didn’t know what was about that guy that made Kyuhyun hate him so much.

 

The guy opened his eyes slowly and took a step back when he saw how close Kyuhyun was from him. “Sorry…” He murmured blushing lightly and trying to avoid his gaze. “I should go now.” He said magically arranging all his belongings in seconds and running away leaving behind his food and his wallet.

 

“Wait!” Kyuhyun yelled mad. “How dare he leave me alone?!” he asked frustrated. “Stupid!” He cursed kicking the food and the wallet and walking away. After a few steps, he decided to return and grab the wallet. He opened it and found the student’s ID. He smirked and took a look at it.

 

Name: Lee Hyukjae

Year: 3^rd

 

Kyuhyun smiled and went through all the school just wandering around. The bell rang and Kyuhyun didn’t dare to go to class, he was too lazy and he really wanted to take a nap.

 

He found this beautiful and seemed to be comfortable bench under a trip and thought it was perfect for him to sleep in. He smirked and went there directly.

 

Kyuhyun closed his eyes and was about to sleep when he heard something that made him frown.

 

“Look who’s there!” A guy said laughing and pointing to an oblivious red haired guy.

 

Stupid guy!

 

Who do you think you’re pointing?! Kyuhyun yelled frustrated to the guy who was near him.

 

Even when he didn’t know why he hated the red guy, he seemed to hate the most the fact that everybody was noticing wherever the latter went.

 

“Should we go and get him?” The guy asked and Kyuhyun clenched his fists.

 

Don’t you dare.

 

“We could make him make our homework for the rest of the year if we hit him enough!” Another guy said and that was all that Kyuhyun could take.

 

“What are you talking about?” Kyuhyun asked dangerously to the two guys who spotted the red haired one who kept on ignoring his context.

 

“Nothing you should worry about Kyuhyun.” One of the guys said smiling mischievously.

 

Gross. Kyuhyun thought when he saw those guys.

 

“We just want to have some fun.” The other guy said smirking.

 

“Get the hell out.” Kyuhyun ordered and the guys looked at each other confused. “Didn’t you hear me?” Kyuhyun asked again, getting annoyed because he himself didn’t know what was he doing.

 

“Ok.” One of the guys said and went away dragging the other one with him.

 

Kyuhyun sighed and turned to see the read haired, a.k.a. Hyukjae just to frown when he couldn’t see him anymore.

 

“What the hell?!” Kyuhyun yelled annoyed.

 

Kyuhyun walked to where the read haired was previously and looked everywhere just to see someone else was dragging him almost forcefully.

 

“Seriously?!” Kyuhyun asked unbelievable.

 

He gets bullied like a lot!

 

“Yah!” Kyuhyun exclaimed to the guy who was practically carrying Hyukjae. The read haired tensed up thinking he might get a worst punishment from Kyuhyun and he could only close his eyes waiting for the worst. “Let him go!” Kyuhyun ordered and Hyukjae opened his eyes in amazement.

 

“This has nothing to do with you Kyuhyun-ssi.” The guy said frowning lightly.

 

Why is it people doesn’t hear me today?!

 

“Yah! Didn’t I tell you to let him go?! I need him for something!” Kyuhyun yelled.

 

“Fine!” The guy snapped frowning and going away not before throwing Hyukjae hard to the floor and making him hit the floor flatly.

 

“P-Please don’t h-hit me…” Hyukjae pleaded.

 

“Who told you I was going to hit you?!” Kyuhyun yelled annoyed because the guy had a completely different image from him.

 

Hyukjae said nothing and just froze in the floor, suddenly feeling scared because of Kyuhyun’s yells. “C-Can I l-leave n-n-now?” He asked hopefully and not even looking at Kyuhyun’s eyes.

 

Why do I hate you so much? Kyuhyun thought when he saw the latter in the floor.

 

You look such fragile and weak.

 

Why would I hate you?

 

Kyuhyun looked away when he felt something strange running through his body and he threw Hyukjae’s wallet to the floor. “Take it. It’s yours.” He said coldly and trying to calm himself.

 

Hyukjae opened his eyes wide. “T-Thank you!” He exclaimed excited.

 

“Whatever.” Kyuhyun said and started to walk away.

Kyuhyun was getting frustrated, ever day he would find Hyukjae around and he would find himself protecting him without the latter noticing.

 

Where the hell is he?! Kyuhyun asked to himself frustrated since he didn’t saw Hyukjae in the whole day.

 

Just as usual, Kyuhyun skipped classes and was just walking around. Even when he didn’t want to admit it, he was unconsciously looking for Hyukjae.

 

“AHHHH!” Kyuhyun heard a scream and he ran as fast as he could, fearing it could be Hyukjae. He wasn’t wrong.

 

He could just see from afar how the latter was being beaten up by three guys from the football team. Kyuhyun clenched his fists and frowned.

 

“Hey!” Kyuhyun yelled to the guys gaining his attention. He looked down to see Hyukjae had bruises all over his face and he barely could move.

 

“What?!” One of the guys snorted out annoyed because of the interruption.

 

“Let him go!” Kyuhyun ordered with a serious tone.

 

“I won’t.” The guy said serious as well.

 

“Really?” Kyuhyun asked crossing his arms in his chest and lifting his left eyebrow.

 

Hyukjae was trying to stand up since the guys were distracted. He felt his heart beat fast when he saw Kyuhyun defending him. He looked amazed at the scene.

 

“Really.” The guy said and threw himself with his fists in the air towards Kyuhyun; the other two following in an instant.

 

Hyukjae was scared, he didn’t want anything wrong to happen to Kyuhyun just because of him. He knew he was going to be okay, he always get bullied, but he didn’t know if Kyuhyun could.

 

By the time Hyukjae could stand up, Kyuhyun had already beaten up two of the three guys, just one missing; he was panting hard and Hyukjae knew he was really tired. And it was because of him.

 

“What are you waiting for?” Kyuhyun asked with a smirk in his face to the guy who was now frowning, not believing Kyuhyun was actually strong.

 

The guy said nothing, but Hyukjae could see the guy took out a knife. He was now even more scared than before; this time it was Kyuhyun’s life in the play.

 

Kyuhyun didn’t have the time to react when he saw the huge guy approaching him in an incredibly fast peace with a knife in his hands. He didn’t know what he should do when the knife was just centimeter away from him.

 

Kyuhyun froze and opened his eyes wide when he saw Hyukjae falling in front of him; receiving a wound from the guy with the knife. His neck was bleeding like a river and Kyuhyun didn’t know what to do.

 

“Hyukjae!” Kyuhyun called moving the body lightly. He didn’t know when the attacker went away and he didn’t care in that instant. “Hyukjae!” He called again moving the body a bit harder.

 

Hyukjae opened his eyes and smiled brightly at Kyuhyun whose heart stopped just by the mere action. “Thanks for protecting me.” Hyukjae said still smiling; Kyuhyun didn’t know what to think; if he was beautiful or if it was gross because of the blood in his neck. He decided it was beautiful.

 

Suddenly and even when Kyuhyun didn’t have the chance to answer, Hyukjae fainted.

 

Kyuhyun felt scared, he took his phone out and called an ambulance, yelling them to hurry the hell up.

“Hey…” Kyuhyun said as he entered Hyukjae’s hospital room. “How do you feel?”

 

Hyukjae smiled warmly at Kyuhyun. He had his neck covered by a bandage and he was now sitting in the bed reading a literature book. “I’m fine thanks.” He answered to Kyuhyun.

 

Kyuhyun stood there a few seconds. “I brought you something.” He said while scratching the back of his head. “Here.” He said and handed the once again lost wallet to Hyukjae who smiled brightly.

 

“Thanks Kyu!” Hyukjae said giving his best gummy smile ever.

 

“Well…” Kyuhyun said nervously. “I just came to say thanks.” He said smiling softly.  “I might get going now.” He said while turning around.

 

“See you at school?” Hyukjae asked hopefully. “And you’re welcome.” He said with a warm smile.

 

Kyuhyun turned around and smiled. “See you at school.” He assured and went out smiling brightly and leaving a happy Hyukjae behind.

“You secretly took my photo from my wallet.” Hyukjae said while cuddling himself in Kyuhyun’s arms and chest.

 

They were sitting in the coach, Kyuhyun’s arms over Hyukjae’s shoulder; remembering the first time they met at high school.

 

“I was in High School and you seemed to have something.” Kyuhyun said looking intently at Hyukjae’s picture in the year book of high school. “You were so cute.” He said smiling to Hyukjae and giving a quick peck in his lips.

 

“And you were so cold.” Hyukjae said smiling softly.

 

“That’s why you fell for me.” Kyuhyun said with a smirk in his face.

 

Hyukjae pouted. “I bet you didn’t even imagine this at that time.” He said pointing at himself.

 

“And now I can’t imagine anything without it.” Kyuhyun said hugging Hyukjae tighter.

 

“I love you Kyu.” Hyukjae said giving Kyuhyun a soft kiss in the lips.

 

“And I love you too Hyuk.” Kyuhyun replied breaking the kiss and returning it with a hotter one. “I love you so much.” Kyuhyun repeated once again breaking apart and tracing a small scar in his lover’s neck.

 

Hyukjae smiled. “I know.” He said and rounded Kyuhyun’s neck with his arms before pushing the later into a more passionate kiss.

 

Kyuhyun smirked and kissed back; he knew that even when he protected Hyukjae lots of times from bullies, the latter was the one who saved him from everything that his future could be.
