Hyukjae woke up but didn’t dare to open his eyes; he was feeling the pain in his legs but when like that, smelling Kyuhyun’s scent made him ignore it and instead just enjoy it.

“I know you’re awake.” Hyukjae heard Kyuhyun’s voice and opened his eyes slowly; smiling at the perfect picture he got in front of him. “How do you feel?” Kyuhyun asked once he saw Hyukjae was looking at him.

“I’m fine.” Hyukjae said smiling brightly. “But I think I should take a shower.” He admitted while feeling his body sticky and the hospital’s smell in his clothes. “How do you feel?” Hyukjae asked reaching his hand to Kyuhyun’s forehead to check his temperature.

“I’m perfect.” Kyuhyun said grabbing Hyukjae’s hand off his forehead and kissing the back of it.

Hyukjae blushed with Kyuhyun’s action, he was now smiling at him and Hyukjae couldn’t avoid looking at those deep eyes that were currently looking at him.

Hyukjae smiled. “I’m happy you’re fine.” He said sincerely.

Kyuhyun smiled back and leaned closer to Hyukjae, whose heartbeat suddenly became faster. Hyukjae closed his eyes and a soft kiss was placed in his lips, Kyuhyun was still grabbing his hand placing it in Kyuhyun’s cheek, hand over hand while they were kissing.

“I love you Hyukkie.” Kyuhyun said when they broke apart.

“I love you too Kyu.” Hyukjae said smiling softly and with pink cheeks. “I think I have to go and shower myself Kyu.” Hyukjae announced a little ashamed on Kyuhyun’s stare at him.

Kyuhyun smirked. “Should I shower with you?” He asked not letting Hyukjae go.

“W-What?!” Hyukjae asked embarrassed at the thought.

“I’m injured and I can’t shower myself Hyukkie…” Kyuhyun said pointing at his bandaged torso. “And you’re a doctor, you should help me.” He said and smiled when Hyukjae’s face was even redder than before.

Hyukjae looked away and just nodded. “Fine!” He hissed and Kyuhyun opened his eyes in disbelief and anticipation.

I thought he was going to say no right away! Kyuhyun thought amazed.

I’m not complaining anyways…

“TAKE THOSE HANDS OF YOURS AWAY FROM MY BODY!” Kyuhyun ordered annoyed.

“But Doctor Kim said you couldn’t bath yourself.” The nurse said concerned.

That’s because I wanted to shower with him not you! Kyuhyun hissed in his mind.

“I can do it myself so back off!” Kyuhyun yelled still annoyed by the sudden turn of events.

“But Doctor Kim said-“

“Where is he?” Kyuhyun interrupted frowning at the nurse.

The nurse flinched a little in front of a mad Kyuhyun. “He’s taking a shower right now sir, but-“

“Take me with him.” Kyuhyun ordered dangerously.

“Doctor Kim said you had to shower and then rest.” The nurse insisted.

“I’m not tired.” Kyuhyun said simply.

The nurse sighed. “Just let me check on your serum.” She said and went to check up everything.

Kyuhyun smirked, but that smirk faded away when he felt a little sleepy. “YOU!” He yelled at the nurse who just gave him his medication.

“Doctor Kim ordered to do it in case you wouldn’t want to.” The nurse explained but Kyuhyun’s hatred for all the nurses was growing up.

Why is it people like to drug me? He asked to himself since he had no more energy left.

Stupid nurses! He cursed and closed his eyes against his will; we would take care of that in the morning.

“Well, the telling of jokes is an art of its own, and it always rises from some emotional threat. The best jokes are dangerous and dangerous because they are in some way truthful.”

“S-Sulli…” Hyukjae called when Sulli entered his hospital room. “H-How do you feel.” He asked concerned.

“I’m fine.” Sulli said flatly.

“Sulli.. I…” Hyukjae started, he was feeling so guilty of his own behavior towards someone else’s husband.

“It’s ok.” Sulli said calmly.

“W-What?” Hyukjae asked confused.

“Kyuhyun and I are getting divorced; so it’s okay if you are together now.” She said looking away.

“Sulli…” Hyukjae called again not believing what was happening.

“Thanks…” Sulli said almost in a whisper and turned to see Hyukjae in his eyes. “I know you made a lot for saving my life.” She said. “You saved my life even when I was going to be away with my baby.”

Hyukjae smiled softly; Sulli’s eyes started to get teary at the memories. “It’s important you were alive so you can be happy.” He said softly.

“Thanks…” Sulli said already sobbing. “Really… Thank you.” She repeated.

Hyukjae approached Sulli and hugged her lightly. “I’m sorry I couldn’t save your baby…” He whispered, fighting back his tears.

Sulli shook her head in Hyukjae’s embrace. “You don’t have to…” She said softly. “I know you tried hard…”

Hyukjae smiled softly breaking the hug apart. “But I’m happy you’re doing fine Sulli…”

Sulli smiled softly. “Take care of him okay?” She asked clearly calmer.

Hyukjae nodded and smiled back. “I will.” He said.

“The world is the great gymnasium where we come to make ourselves strong.”

The topic about his past was sealed, neither Hyukjae nor anyone else mentioned it, they would just make sure the latter was doing fine. Heechul would go and visit him to the hospital everyday in the afternoon; he would feed Hyukjae with strawberry stuff and then he would tell him embarrassing stories about everyone else.

It has been a month and even when Kyuhyun was discharged, Hyukjae wasn’t.

“But my injury was even lighter than Kyuhyun’s!” Hyukjae whined to Minho who insisted on keeping him on the hospital.

“But he’s not that sick.” Minho answered looking at Hyukjae’s record.

“I healed by myself!” Hyukjae said excited, as if that would make Minho change his mind.

Minho sighed. “Don’t cheat yourself Hyuk.” He said serious. “You know that could mean thrombosis.”

Hyukjae looked down. “That would only mean it is getting worst right?” Hyukjae asked smiling bitterly.

Minho sighed and said nothing, Hyukjae knew it all the time, he was just being too positive.

“HYUK!” Kyuhyun entered the room, running towards Hyukjae and giving him a tight hug. “How do you feel today?” He asked.

“I’m fine Kyu…” Hyukjae lied; he didn’t want Kyuhyun to worry about him.

“Is Minho being mean to you?” Kyuhyun asked lifting an eyebrow. “I can take care of that.” He smirked, hoping Hyukjae would allow him to put Minho in his place.

“Just try it!” Minho exclaimed annoyed.

“You better don’t see me try.” Kyuhyun threatened standing up straight.

“You can’t actually harm me.” Minho said smirking; Hyukjae didn’t know where he learnt that.

Hyukjae sighed; they started again. “Get out.” He ordered, he was just too tired and the bad news weren’t something to be happy about either.

“What?” Both male asked unbelievable.

“Get out of my room or else I’ll call security to do so.” Hyukjae said flatly.

“Are you okay Hyukkie?” Kyuhyun asked with honest concern in his eyes, he approached Hyukjae and placed his hand in his head as to check if he was truly fine.

Hyukjae sighed again. “I’m fine Kyu, but I need to rest a little okay?” He said smiling softly at Kyuhyun.

Kyuhyun nodded. “Fine.” He said leaning down to kiss Hyukjae in the forehead. “I’ll be outside.” Kyuhyun said going out and leaving Hyukjae alone.

“See what you provoke?” Kyuhyun asked Minho once they were outside. “He doesn’t want us inside his room anymore!”

“He was fine when I was there alone.” Minho said calmly.

“Don’t think too much about it.” Kyuhyun said and was about to continue when he saw a nurse carrying a huge bouquet of flowers; walking directly at Hyukjae’s room.

Minho and Kyuhyun followed the nurse with their eyes.

“Excuse me.” The nurse said for the two males to move aside and let her step inside the room.

“What the hell?!” Minho and Kyuhyun yelled in unison when they saw through the glass that Hyukjae received a huge bouquet of flowers in his hands.

“YOU!” they yelled pointing at each other and turning around after that to hide their embarrassment because both did the same thing.

“He’s mine so back off.” Kyuhyun finally said serious.

“Not until I make sure you can really take care of him.” Minho answered frowning lightly.

“I can take care of him!” Kyuhyun snapped. “So what’s with the flowers?!” He asked annoyed.

Minho opened his eyes wide. “I-I didn’t send those flowers.” HE admitted and both turned to just see a smiling Hyukjae, smelling the new flowers in his hands.

Minho and Kyuhyun frowned and clinched their fists.

No one touches my Hyukkie. Kyuhyun thought.

Now I have to protect Hyuk from this Kyuhyun guy and now another one?! Minho asked himself in his mind. Hyuk does have something...

“How strange that nature does not knock, and yet does not intrude.”

“Thanks.” Hyukjae said to the nurse and she just bowed lightly and went out.

Hyukjae smelled the flowers while smiling, they were beautiful and he was hoping it would be from Kyuhyun. He searched for some minutes until he finally found the card.

Hyukjae’s smile faded away when he read the content. He was now mad, even when his life was getting better; he just forgot about that little detail.

Hyukjae frowned, he didn’t want that; but he had to make sure the ones he loved were safe before making a move to get rid of Alexander.

Stupid Alexander. He hissed in his mind.

Hyukjae left the bouquet of flowers in the bed and started taking off everything that was in his body, he quickly went to the bathroom and changed his clothes into casual ones.

“Hyuk!” Minho exclaimed when he saw Hyukjae was already outside his room. “What are you doing?!”

“You’re discharging me.” Hyukjae said simply as he placed his record and a pen in front of him just to make him sign.

Minho frowned. “Fine.” He said taking the pen and signing the paper. “Periodic checkups will do.” He murmured while pouting.

“Hyukkie…” Kyuhyun called concerned at the sudden events. “Are you really alright?” He asked.

“I am Kyu…” Hyukjae answered softly. “Don’t worry.” He said. “It’s just boring to be there, I miss my patients.”

Kyuhyun pouted lightly.

He should be missing ME not his patients!

You pest him every day.

Shut up.

Kyuhyun mind went back to his right place when he heard a beep coming from Minho. “I have to go.” Minho announced looking at that little thing that Kyuhyun didn’t know what it was.

“Do you want to get something to eat Kyu?” Hyukjae asked softly.

“Just if you come back home with me.” Kyuhyun answered smiling.

Hyukjae frowned and pouted lightly. “I’m not living with you Kyu…” He said as a matter of fact.

“You will.” Kyuhyun said in the same tone. “From now on.”

Hyukjae sighed, tempted at the idea of being together with Kyuhyun.

He might suspect if we go out in one of our ‘jobs’. Hyukjae thought.

Though it is really tempting.

We must protect him first.

“Hyukkieee!” Hyukjae sighed in relief when he heard Sungmin and Donghae calling him, running towards him with open arms.

Kyuhyun frowned when the two boys were clinging into Hyukjae like little monkeys in a tree. “Yah!” He exclaimed at the two boys. “Let him go! He’s mine!”

“He’s not yours Kyuhyun.” Kyuhyun heard Heechul’s voice from behind. “You two.” He said looking at Donghae and Sungmin. “Let me hug my son.” He ordered and just an instant Donghae and Sungmin let Hyukjae go just for Heechul to hug him. “Why didn’t you tell me you were going to be discharged today?” Heechul asked still in the embrace.

“I didn’t know it either Umma.” Hyukjae said sincerely.

“We must go and celebrate!” Heechul exclaimed breaking the hug. “Hannie!” He called.

“Yes Chullie-ah?” Hankyung answered giving Hyukjae a warm smile which the letter gave back happily.

“Let’s call Leeteuk and tell him to come and get his game crazy son and his two annoying boys back!” Heechul said pointing at Kyuhyun and then to the now pouting Donghae and Sungmin.

Hyukjae smiled at them and patted their hair. “Why don’t we eat all together?” He suggested.

“No way!” Kyuhyun exclaimed. “We were going to eat together, just you and me, nobody else!” He said.

Heechul frowned. “I bet my son wants to eat with me and his Appa more than with you Kyuhyun.” He said sure of his words. “Right Hyukkie?”

Hyukjae blushed, he didn’t know what to answer to that, he loved Heechul and Hankyung, but he loved Kyuhyun too. “Can’t we just eat all together?” He asked shyly.

“I’ll call Umma and Appa!” Donghae yelled happily.

“I’ll call Yesung and Siwon!” Sungmin yelled happily taking out his cell phone.

Heechul sighed and took out his cell phone too. “I should call Wookie and Kibum then.” He said but handed his phone to Hankyung for him to do so.

Everybody was busy enough as to ignore the now pouting Kyuhyun.

They were currently hugging each other. After they went to have some dinner, Kyuhyun took Hyukjae to a park, it was calm, the wind moved the trees’ leaves and Kyuhyun’s hug was everything Hyukjae needed at that time.

“I love you so much Hyukkie.” Kyuhyun said between the silence of the night.

Hyukjae smiled. “I love you too Kyu, so much.” He said cuddling himself more into Kyuhyun’s hug.

“Please don’t ever leave me again Hyukkie.” Kyuhyun pleaded reaching Hyukjae’s chin and making the latter look at his eyes.

Hyukjae’s heart almost stopped, the butterflies in his stomach were ticking him. It was as if it were the first time Kyuhyun had ever talked to him, he was happy and that image he was getting was the only one he wanted to remember forever.

Kyuhyun was against the light, his dark hair was shining with the moon light and his features could be seen perfectly.

“I would never do that.” Hyukjae finally said, getting lost at Kyuhyun’s eyes and wishing that moment could last forever.

Kyuhyun smiled warmly and leaned closer until their lips touched. It felt like their first kiss, finally being able to be with each other freely. There was nothing that could stop them by that time. They were happy and they were in love, they kissed for a long time; no need of oxygen because of being a soft kiss.

Hyukjae smiled when they broke apart, the moment couldn’t be more perfect, Kyuhyun was the only thing he wanted in his life in that moment; and lucky him, it was like that.

“I love you.” Kyuhyun said smiling warmly.

Hyukjae giggled. “You already said that.” He said blushing lightly.

“I know.” Kyuhyun said hugging Hyukjae. “I just want to make sure you know it all the time.”

“I know.” Hyukjae said cuddling himself in Kyuhyun’s chest. “And I love you too.”

“It's all right letting yourself go, as long as you can get yourself back.”

Hyukjae woke up and realized he couldn’t move his body, he turned around his head and smiled when he saw a sleeping Kyuhyun by his side; Kyuhyun’s arm was in his waist and they were hugging as if they were one; their legs were crossed, one above another one. Hyukjae blushed.

He’s so hot. He thought.

Don’t start it.

Fine.

Hyukjae pouted and flinched a little bit when Kyuhyun moved a little.

OMO! Did I wake him up?!

He must be tired and I’m not considered enough as to let him sleep!

“Hyuk?” Kyuhyun called in a sleepy voice, almost unconscious. Hyukjae didn’t move and instead of that he closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep. “I know you’re awake Hyukkie.” Kyuhyun said tightening his hug in Hyukjae’s body.

Hyukjae pouted. “I didn’t mean to wake you up…” He said almost in a whisper.

Hyukkie is so cute. Kyuhyun thought smiling.

“You didn’t.” Kyuhyun said. “And I’m so happy you’re the first thing I see in the morning. Let’s do this every day.”

Hyukjae blushed harder. “What if the night is hot?” He asked innocently; he truly believed being near someone else when it was hot wasn’t the best option.

Kyuhyun smirked. “Hot?” He asked lifting an eyebrow. “What exactly do you mean by that?” He asked while his hand was traveling slowly down Hyukjae’s body.

Hyukjae flinched a little at Kyuhyun’s sudden moves. “K-Kyu…” He called, but Kyuhyun found it more like a moan.

Kyuhyun leaned closer to kiss Hyukjae, and the latter didn’t think it twice before kissing back. The kiss was hot and passionate; Hyukjae found himself moving lightly towards Kyuhyun to create some friction, soft moans coming out from his mouth.

Hyukjae opened his mouth in a moan when Kyuhyun slid his hand under Hyukjae’s shirt; chance that Kyuhyun took for entering Hyukjae’s mouth with his tongue. He explored it as a whole, his hand rubbing Hyukjae’s back and moving down every second.

Hyukjae didn’t know when the situation became like that, he was now under Kyuhyun and the latter was licking and kissing his neck; Hyukjae had nothing against that.

Kyuhyun explored every part of Hyukjae’s body with his hand, enjoying Hyukjae’s moans every time he bit his neck. Kyuhyun swore to God he wanted to wake up like that every day of the rest of his life.

Suddenly, they heard the ring bell ringing and Kyuhyun decided nothing was more important that what he was doing.

“K-Kyu…” Hyukjae called weakly, getting lost at Kyuhyun’s kisses and touches.

“Yes Hyuk?” Kyuhyun answered to the call not leaving Hyukjae’s body.

“Someone is in the door… mmnnh…” Hyukjae tried hard to keep on breathing as he was supposed to.

“They will leave after a few minutes so don’t worry.” Kyuhyun said planting a hot kiss in Hyukjae’s lips.

“I’ll go open Kyu…” Hyukjae announced when they broke apart panting hard at the hotness.

Kyuhyun frowned. “Don’t.” He simply said.

Hyukjae smiled softly at Kyuhyun and gave a soft kiss to the latter; so different from the last one. “We have a whole life Kyu.” He just said and slid out of the bed; fixing himself as he walked towards the door; Kyuhyun following behind as a scolded child.

“Umma!” Hyukjae greeted happily when he saw Heechul behind the door.

“Hyukkie?” Heechul asked lifting an eyebrow. “Wait just a little bit okay?” He asked and took out his cell phone.

“Hello?” Leeteuk answered form the other line.

“Yah!” Heechul exclaimed frowning. “Come here right now and bring Kangin with you!” He ordered and shut his phone up. “How have you been Hyukkie?” Heechul asked softly to the latter.

Hyukjae was confused because of the sudden change of Heechul’s moods but still shrugged it down.

“Who is it Hyuk?” Kyuhyun asked yawning and resting his body in a door’s frame.

“Heechul Umma!” Hyukjae answered happily.

Kyuhyun opened his eyes wide and froze.

“So…” Heechul appeared in front of Kyuhyun. “Mind to tell me why is my son here?”

Kyuhyun gulped. “I-“

“I was so sleepy last night that Kyuhyun carried me and bought me here Umma…” Hyukjae explained missing the death glare that Heechul was sending to the now nervous Kyuhyun. “Umma?” Hyukjae called not knowing the situation.

“Tell me Hyukkie…” Heechul finally looked at him and Kyuhyun sighed in relief. “What did he do to you?” He asked pointing at Kyuhyun.

Hyukjae blushed hard remembering what happened between them just moments ago. “N-Nothing…” Hyukjae said looking away.

“What the hell do you want Heechul?!” A fuming Leeteuk arrived without warning.

“Look at his face.” Heechul ordered as he pointed Hyukjae’s red face. Leeteuk did as he was told and opened his eyes wide. “Now look at his face.” Heechul said again pointing at Kyuhyun’s face.

“Kyuhyun!” Leeteuk yelled.

“Now what?!” Kyuhyun asked frustrated at not knowing what was happening.

“You two still can’t have sex!” Leeteuk yelled and Kyuhyun and Hyukjae blushed hard at the mention of that word.

“W-What?!” Kyuhyun asked embarrassed. “Why not?!” He asked once his mind was clearer.

“Because Hyuk needs to be prepared!” Heechul and Leeteuk said. “Kangin?” Leeteuk called softly.

Kangin sighed and walked further. “Kyuhyun…” He called. “We will have a long talk today.” He announced and Kyuhyun slapped himself.

Long talk… Kyuhyun resigned himself.

“Oh Hyuk!” Heechul exclaimed when Kyuhyun and Kangin were gone. “This was outside the door, give it to Kyuhyun later. I have to go.” He said as he waved goodbye.

Hyukjae just nodded and took the little box that was being handed to him.

“Why did he come here anyways?” Leeteuk hissed and then turned to see Hyukjae warmly. “How have you been Hyukkie?” He asked softly.

Hyukjae smiled. “I’m super hyper happy!” Hyukjae exclaimed.

“I’m glad to hear that.” Leeteuk smiled. “Should we make something to have breakfast?” He asked and Hyukjae nodded.

Leeteuk and Kangin were gone already from Kyuhyun’s house, Kyuhyun was left scared at the ‘talk’ and an awkward silence was in the room as Hyukjae and Kyuhyun admitted themselves they did wanted to do ‘that’.

Hyukjae suddenly remembered something and went inside the room, just to find a little box lying in the bed; he took it and started to walk outside until a little thing catch his attention and realized the package was actually for him.

How did they know I was in Kyuhyun’s house? Hyukjae asked himself frowning.

Stupid Alexander. He cursed opening the small box and throwing the trash away.

Hyukjae took out the cell phone and gasped when he saw it was high technology. He didn’t need that actually.

Hyukjae frowned when he saw there was already a new message. He opened it and his frown went even deeper when he read a name, an occupation and an address written there.

So this guy will be my first victim? Hyukjae asked himself, suddenly feeling scared because of what he was going to do.

Hyukjae froze in his place, he was shocked and was having a mental argue with himself, he didn’t want to kill anybody, he was a doctor because of the contrary.

But Hyukjae was tired of always being the one who gets protected and he was even more tired of him being the reason of all the bad things that happened. He lost his family once, he was sure he didn’t want to lose another one again.

Even like that; he was no one to take someone else’s life with his hands.

“Are you okay Hyukkie?” Kyuhyun asked when he saw Hyukjae spacing out. Hyukjae turned to see Kyuhyun’s eyes directly and with a blank face. “Are you feeling sick Hyukkie?” Kyuhyun asked concerned.

They are my family now. Hyukjae thought looking directly at Kyuhyun’s eyes.

And even when I don’t want to be selfish I will…

They are now the ones I have to protect…

And I’ll do everything that takes to keep them safe and by my side.

Even if it is to work as an assassin…
